   Caption:  The aquatic insect community as indicated by Percent Dominant Taxa in Elk River from 1994 to 1996 fell with ranges of diverse and unimpaired to moderate impairment according to criteria established by Harrington (1999) who characterized communities with over 39% dominance by one species as highly impaired and those with one species comprising less than 14% of the sample as diverse.
