WQ: Dissolved Oxygen in Olema Creek 1999-2001 |

    |
Caption:  Water quality parameters were measured by Point Reyes National Seashore in small tributaries of Lagunitas Creek, as well as Olema Creek from 1999-2001. The graph shows dissolved oxygen data for Olema Creek. The reference values represent the minimum Cold water habitat (7.0 mg/L) and Warm water habitat (5.0 mg/L) criteria from the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board (SFRWQCB) 1995 Basin Plan (CRWQCB, 1995). The minimum D.O. value of 3.5 mg/l at OLM4 may have been lethal to salmonids. It should be noted that dissolved oxygen was more of a concern during the summer and is being researched further in the John West Fork (OLM1). See the Map location of stations and Info Links for more information.
