Caption: Once Trinity Dam was built the flow below the dam in the Trinity River did not necessarily reflect inflow into the reservoir above the dam. The 1977 water year was the second year of a severe drought and the chart shows that base flows in the Trinity River below Lewiston were frequently higher than they would have been from natural runoff.
