Purpose	To document current habitat conditions, and recommend options for the potential enhancement of habitat.
Data Quality Information	Habitat typing is a good inventory tool for salmon and steelhead habitat, there are subjective elements to how different units are categorized (i.e. a series of discrete pool and run habitats or lumping into step-run)
Use Constraints	Only measures like pool depth can be quantitatively used for measuring trends because observer bias cause more variability in results than actual changes in habitat frequency.
Supplemental Information	Habitat typing reports on file at CDFG Fortuna for the entire region. Some habitat typing data and surveys are available in electronic form, including GIS
